Jim Carrey stars in the Ron Howard adaptation of Dr. Seuss's enduring tale of the evil Grinch in Whoville and the Christmas he looks to sabotage. Carrey also lends his quick mouth to "Grinch 2000," a rap duet with Busta Rhymes, and to "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch," which he goes alone in a voice somewhere between Buster Poindexter, Don Rickles, and Pavarotti on acid and amphetamines. The mistletoe has its place above country-pop star Faith Hill, who delivers the album's first single, "Where Are You, Christmas?" Other high-profile names here include those Canadian jokesters BareNaked Ladies, ska-punks Smash Mouth, and that omnipresent boyband 'N Sync. Lesser names like the Eels, the modest pop experiment of a man called "E", and the orchestral grandeur of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra contribute solid festive tunes. The product is fine; however, I paid for expedited delivery and did not receive the item in time for use. I ordered on Nov 28 needing the CD for a dinner party on Dec 5. It did not arrive until Dec 7.
Unfortunately I only wanted one song from this CD. But it does have a couple of good ones.
I purchased this item on december 4,2008 shipping was said to take 1-3 weeks. well I never received my item emailed the seller and they never responded.what a terrible experience.this seller should be held accountable for purchases not fullfilled.after this I am hesitant to use amazon again.
This goes perfectly with the movie, if you're wondering whether or not you should purchase both. This CD includes the wonderful soundtrack composed for the movie, as well as other songs mentioned in the movie. It's a perfect holiday companion CD.
I ask everone I know if they like this. To bad it could be a good movie. Go out and get the old one.
